“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” is the story of 15-year-old Christopher Boone, a neuro-divergent teen who excels at math, but struggles with elements of every day life. When a neighbor’s dog is murdered, he investigates and discovers the secret of the disappearance of his mother and deception by his father. In early discussions with director Khalia Davis, we recognized that while Christopher struggles socially and emotionally, his is quite self-aware. My goal in creating a soundscape for the play was to highlight his struggle to function in new environments, and to ultimately discover the truth about his family.
